Baisteach (rain) Handmade vegan granulating and separating watercolour paint - blue/mauve pink (Opaque, Lightfast) Lovingly designed and handmade by me in West Yorkshire! IMPORTANT INFORMATION Rain is made with highly granulating pigments that are quite heavy and are mixed with some that are light. Whilst drilying layers, the heavier pugments settle and the lighter ones rise. This one in particular is a paint that you will need to use quite a bit of water with and let rest for 5-10 minutes to allow the water to reach the heavy pigments and allow the full formula to activate and mix with the lighter pigments. It's not possible to get the granulating separating effects from a few drops of water left for a minute or two. This is the same for most of my paints as i love to use granulating pigments but because the pigments are so contrasting, it is a lot more noticeable when there is little of the heavier pigment present in the swatch. Baisteach is a beautiful paint and is worth the little extra time needed to allow all the pigments to activate when painting with it. These watercolours have been handmade using pure pigment, binder and preservative and does not contain any honey so is completely vegan. It takes several weeks to produce one pan of colour and this listing is for a half pan of colour. During the process there can be minor imperfections such as bubbles or cracks, these are part of the process and do not hinder the quality or use of the product. Often each pan has had 4/5 separate fills. This is not an item that is intended for use on the skin or to be ingested. Do not let children play with this item. Each half pan is individually wrapped and labelled with a magnet on the base of the pan prior to wrapping. It may be beneficial to chill your watercolour for a short time before removing the wrapper to avoid it sticking to your colour. If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to message me and I will try to help.
